Mythical Games selects Gr4vy to deliver payment diversification

Gr4vy’s payment orchestration platform enables Mythical Games to offer advanced payment options and manage customer data and portability

Gr4vy, the leading cloud-native payments infrastructure company, today announced Mythical Games, the leading gaming company, has chosen the company’s cloud-native payment orchestration platform (POP) to deliver increased flexibility and diverse payment options at the time of checkout. The next-generation games technology company selected Gr4vy’s no-code platform for its advanced features, multiple connectors to leading PSPs (payment service providers) and ability to control payment data and portability within a PCI1-certified agnostic vault.

“Adding new payment options can be complicated, causing additional strain on development teams and company resources. It’s imperative for gaming companies to provide the payment methods consumers demand while still being able to save costs and scale,” said John Lunn, Founder and CEO of Gr4vy. “Mythical Games provides unmatched services to their customers. We’re honored to work with such a well-known name in the gaming industry and provide a cloud-native POP that allows them to quickly add new payment providers, deliver against their organizational goals and scale globally.”

Mythical Games powers the next generation of players, games and studios. The Mythical Platform provides the underlying technology of their peer-to-peer Marketplace and manages trades, payments, users and blockchain inventory. The Marketplace unlocks the value of a player’s monetary and time-based efforts, by making it possible for buyers and sellers to transact their digital assets confidently in a secure and trusted environment.

This announcement comes as the gaming industry continues to experience exponential growth. Revenue in the video games segment is expected to reach $365.60 billion (US) in 2023 and market volume is projected to reach $482.30 billion (US) by 2027. Mythical Games, with Gr4vy’s platform, can now more easily achieve direct contact with key payment service providers anywhere without using internal resources. They can wield no-code tools to add, test, and deploy new payment methods and route for costs, all while controlling and tokenizing transaction data within Gr4vy’s PCI1-certified agnostic vault. As a result, the company can easily comply with local data regulations, consolidate its payments infrastructure and securely move transaction data while remaining fully PCI compliant.

“Gr4vy’s platform allows us to further modernize our technology and payments stack while offering the latest payment methods in just a few clicks,” said Tina VanBrunt, Sr. Director of Trust and Safety at Mythical Games. “Gr4vy is truly an amazing partner and has become an important extension of our internal teams.”

Gr4vy’s payment orchestration layer makes it easier for merchants to deploy, manage, customize and optimize the right payment method for the specific user. Merchants can get multiple dedicated instances of Gr4vy in the Cloud to reduce points of failure and ensure they never lose a transaction. The platform includes everything merchants need for payment infrastructure, including connectors to leading payment service providers, a powerful workflow engine, front and backend payment orchestration, a PCI1-certified vault and a dashboard to control everything within their payments stack.
